Produced in cooperation with dancer Alexandra Beller.

Original oil painting produced on stretched 91cm x 61cm canvas using a knife, mixing only on the canvas using a limited colour palette.

There's many more figurative, dance and portrait fine art original oil paintings, pastels and gicleé prints on my website: R Young Art

Prints are now only available via my website, though I do sign them. I have disabled all prints of my artwork on DA in protest as they removed my featured artwork, didn't adhere to their own policies and ignored my communications so I don't see why I should contribute financially with print commissions...

Gorgeous, as always! Although I don't think she's all that Rubenesque at all!! Well, maybe in the dance world- they do run a bit on the thin side. I don't know if you've ever read "Stardance" or any of the other books by Jeanne Robinson, but I imagine this is exactly what her star dancer would look like. She describes her as being too tall and too bulky to be accepted by the dance world, but as having such spirit and passion that once her body is put into the motion of dance, you can't pull your eyes off of her.

Once again you've beautifully captured the freedom of movement and joy of dance in the most wonderful light and tones.:rose:
