Artist's Comments

Original oil painting produced on stretched 120cm x 60cm canvas using a knife, mixing only on the canvas using a limited colour palette.

There's many more figurative, dance and portrait fine art original oil paintings, pastels and gicleé prints on my website: R Young Art

Prints are now only available via my website, though I do sign them. I have disabled all prints of my artwork on DA in protest as they removed my featured artwork, didn't adhere to their own policies and ignored my communications so I don't see why I should contribute financially with print commissions...

I admire your skill at creating such beautiful women with just your knife and the limited pallete you use. Being a dancer myself, I am utterly amazed at how well you capture the emotion and love of the dance in each woman's face. This painting is an excellent example of that.

Amazing!I love how her feet are in the sand but the sand looks like a silk blanket.It's amazing and gracefull.
